vraja-janera há¹›daya vidare
kibÄ mÄra' vraja-vÄsÄ«, kibÄ jÄ«yÄo vraje Äsi',
kena jÄ«yÄo duḥkha sahÄibÄre?

 nÄ gaṇi - I do not care; Äpana-duḥkha - My personal unhappiness; dekhi' - seeing; vrajeÅ›varÄ«-mukha - the face of mother YaÅ›odÄ; vraja-janera - of all the inhabitants of Vá¹›ndÄvana; há¹›daya vidare - the hearts break; kibÄ - whether; mÄra' vraja-vÄsÄ« - You want to kill the inhabitants of Vá¹›ndÄvana; kibÄ - or; jÄ«yÄo - You want to keep their lives; vraje Äsi' - coming in Vá¹›ndÄvana; kena - why; jÄ«yÄo - You let them live; duḥkha sahÄibÄre - just to cause to suffer unhappiness.

“I do not care for My personal unhappiness, but when I see the morose face of mother YaÅ›odÄ and the hearts of all the inhabitants of Vá¹›ndÄvana breaking because of You, I wonder whether You want to kill them all. Or do You want to enliven them by coming there? Why are You simply keeping them alive in a state of suffering?
