yaḥ–One who; karoti–acts; ādhāya–by offering; karmāṇi–all actions; brahmaṇi–unto the Supreme Lord; tyaktvā–having given up; saṅgam–attachment; saḥ–he; na lipyate–is not affected; pāpena–by sin (or piety); padma-patram iva–as a lotus leaf; (na lipyate)–is not touched; ambhasā–by water. [10]

One who, though living in this world, selflessly offers all his actions to the Supreme Lord, is not polluted by sin, as a lotus leaf remains on the water yet is untouched by it.
