saurashtra -- residing in Saurashtra; avanti -- in Avanti; abhirah -- and in Abhira; ca -- and; surah -- residing in the Sura province; arbuda-malavah -- residing in Arbuda and Malava; vratyah -- deviated from all purificatory rituals; dvijah -- the brahmanas; bhavishyanti -- will become; sudra-prayah -- no better than sudras; jana-adhipah -- the kings.

At that time the brahmanas of such provinces as Saurashtra, Avanti, Abhira, Sura, Arbuda and Malava will forget all their regulative principles, and the members of the royal order in these places will become no better than sudras.
