tarhi eva -- and then; hi -- indeed; salah -- the wrestler Sala; krishna -- of Lord Krishna; prapada -- by the toes; ahata -- struck; sirshakah -- his head; dvidha -- in two; vidirnah -- torn; tosalaka -- Tosala; ubhau api -- both of them; nipetatuh -- fell down.

Then Krishna struck the wrestler Sala in the head with His toes and tore him in half. The Lord dealt with Tosala in the same way, and both wrestlers fell down dead.
