पञ्चमो रैवतो नाम मनुस्तामससोदरः ।
बलिविन्ध्यादयस्तस्य सुता हार्जुनपूर्वकाः ॥२॥

pañcamo raivato nÄma
manus tÄmasa-sodaraḥ
bali-vindhyÄdayas tasya
sutÄ hÄrjuna-pÅ«rvakÄḥ

 pañcamaḥ - the fifth; raivataḥ - Raivata; nÄma - by the name; manuḥ - Manu; tÄmasa-sodaraḥ - the brother of TÄmasa Manu; bali - Bali; vindhya - Vindhya; Ädayaḥ - and so on; tasya - his; sutÄḥ - sons; ha - certainly; arjuna - Arjuna; pÅ«rvakÄḥ - heading all the sons.


Text

The brother of TÄmasa Manu was the fifth Manu, named Raivata. His sons were headed by Arjuna, Bali and Vindhya.
