ततो रथः काञ्चनपट्टनद्धो
हयाश्च हर्यश्वतुरङ्गवर्णाः ।
ध्वजश्च सिंहेन विराजमानो
हुताशनादास हविर्भिरिष्टात् ॥५॥

hayÄÅ› ca haryaÅ›va-turaá¹…ga-varṇÄḥ
dhvajaÅ› ca siá¹hena virÄjamÄno
hutÄÅ›anÄd Äsa havirbhir iṣṭÄt

 tataḥ - thereafter; rathaḥ - a chariot; kÄñcana - with gold; paá¹­á¹­a - and silk garments; naddhaḥ - wrapped; hayÄḥ ca - horses also; haryaÅ›va-turaá¹…ga-varṇÄḥ - exactly of the same color as the horses of Indra (yellow); dhvajaḥ ca - a flag also; siá¹hena - with the mark of a lion; virÄjamÄnaḥ - existing; huta-aÅ›anÄt - from the blazing fire; Äsa - there was; havirbhiḥ - by offerings of clarified butter; iṣṭÄt - worshiped.

When ghee [clarified butter] was offered in the fire of sacrifice, there appeared from the fire a celestial chariot covered with gold and silk. There also appeared yellow horses like those of Indra, and a flag marked with a lion.
