यमस्य देवस्य न दण्डभङ्गः
कुतश्चनर्षे श्रुतपूर्व आसीत् ।
एतन्मुने वृश्चति लोकसंशयं
न हि त्वदन्य इति मे विनिश्चितम् ॥२॥

kutaÅ›canará¹£e Å›ruta-pÅ«rva ÄsÄ«t
etan mune vṛścati loka-samÅ›ayaá¹
na hi tvad-anya iti me viniścitam

 yamasya - of YamarÄja; devasya - the demigod in charge of judgment; na - not; daṇá¸a-bhaá¹…gaḥ - the breaking of the order; kutaÅ›cana - from anywhere; á¹›á¹£e - O great sage; Å›ruta-pÅ«rvaḥ - heard before; ÄsÄ«t - was; etat - this; mune - O great sage; vṛścati - can eradicate; loka-samÅ›ayam - the doubt of people; na - not; hi - indeed; tvat-anyaḥ - anyone other than you; iti - thus; me - by me; viniÅ›citam - concluded.

O great sage, never before has it been heard anywhere that an order from YamarÄja has been baffled. Therefore I think that people will have doubts about this that no one but you can eradicate. Since that is my firm conviction, kindly explain the reasons for these events.
