निर्भिन्ने अश्विनौ नासे विष्णोराविशतां पदम् ।
घ्राणेनांशेन गन्धस्य प्रतिपत्तिर्यतो भवेत् ॥१४॥

viṣṇor ÄviÅ›atÄá¹ padam
ghrÄṇenÄmÅ›ena gandhasya
pratipattir yato bhavet

 nirbhinne - thus being separated; aÅ›vinau - the dual AÅ›vinÄ«s; nÄse - of the two nostrils; viṣṇoḥ - of the Lord; ÄviÅ›atÄm - entering; padam - post; ghrÄṇena amÅ›ena - by partially smelling; gandhasya - aroma; pratipattiḥ - experience; yataḥ - whereupon; bhavet - becomes.

When the Lord’s two nostrils separately manifested themselves, the dual AÅ›vinÄ«-kumÄras entered them in their proper positions, and because of this the living entities can smell the aromas of everything.
