Text

The sage JÄtÅ«karṇya was also a disciple of ÅšÄkalya, and after dividing the saá¹hitÄ he received from ÅšÄkalya into three parts, he added a fourth section, a Vedic glossary. He taught one of these parts to each of four disciples — BalÄka, the second Paila, JÄbÄla and Viraja.
