vasiṣṭho varuṇo rambhÄ
sahajanyas tathÄ huhūḥ
śukraś citrasvanaś caiva
Å›uci-mÄsaá¹ nayanty amÄ«

 vasiṣṭhaḥ varuṇaḥ rambhÄ - Vasiṣṭha, Varuṇa and RambhÄ; sahajanyaḥ - Sahajanya; tathÄ - also; huhūḥ - HÅ«hÅ«; Å›ukraḥ citrasvanaḥ - Åšukra and Citrasvana; ca eva - as well; Å›uci-mÄsam - the month of Åšuci (ĀṣÄá¸ha); nayanti - rule; amÄ« - these.

Vasiṣṭha as the sage, Varuṇa as the sun-god, RambhÄ as the ApsarÄ, Sahajanya as the RÄká¹£asa, HÅ«hÅ« as the Gandharva, Åšukra as the NÄga and Citrasvana as the Yaká¹£a rule the month of Åšuci.
