mayaitad uktaá¹ vo viprÄ
guhyaá¹ yat sÄá¹…khya-yogayoḥ
jÄnÄ«ta mÄgataá¹ yajñaá¹
yuá¹£mad-dharma-vivaká¹£ayÄ
mayÄ - by Me; etat - this (knowledge); uktam - has been spoken; vaḥ - unto you; viprÄḥ - O brÄhmaṇas; guhyam - confidential; yat - which; sÄá¹…khya - of the philosophical method of distinguishing matter from spirit; yogayoḥ - and the aá¹£á¹Äá¹…ga-yoga system; jÄnÄ«ta - please understand; mÄ - Me; Ägatam - who has arrived; yajñam - as Viṣṇu, the Supreme Lord of sacrifice; yuá¹£mat - your; dharma - religious duties; vivaká¹£ayÄ - with the desire to explain.
To increase the faith of Lord BrahmÄ’s sons and establish the prestige of His teachings, Lord Kṛṣṇa now formally identifies Himself as the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Viṣṇu. As stated in Vedic literature, yajño vai viṣṇuḥ. After explaining the sÄá¹…khya- and aá¹£á¹Äá¹…ga-yoga systems, the Lord clearly answers the original question of the sages, “Who are You, sir?†Thus, Lord BrahmÄ and his sons were enlightened by Lord Haá¹sa.
