paurÄ jÄnapadÄ ná¹›pa
abhÄ«yur muditÄs tasmai
gá¹›hÄ«tÄrhaṇa-pÄṇayaḥ

 te - they; acyutam - Lord Kṛṣṇa; prÄptam - arrived; Äkarṇya - hearing; paurÄḥ - the people of the city; jÄnapadÄḥ - and of the villages; ná¹›pa - O King; abhÄ«yuḥ - came forward; muditÄḥ - joyful; tasmai - to Him; gá¹›hÄ«ta - holding; arhaṇa - offerings to present to Him; pÄṇayaḥ - in their hands.


Text

Hearing that Lord Acyuta had arrived, O King, the residents of the cities and villages of Videha joyfully came forth to receive Him with offerings in their hands.
