dÄsÄ«bhiḥ sarva-sampadbhir
bhaá¹ebha-ratha-vÄjibhiḥ
ÄyudhÄni mahÄrhÄṇi
dadau pūrṇasya bhaktitaḥ
dÄsÄ«bhiḥ - along with maidservants; sarva - all; sampadbhiḥ - endowed with riches; bhaá¹a - with infantry soldiers; ibha - soldiers riding elephants; ratha - soldiers riding chariots; vÄjibhiḥ - and soldiers riding horses; ÄyudhÄni - weapons; mahÄ-arhÄṇi - extremely valuable; dadau - he gave; pÅ«rṇasya - to the perfectly complete Lord; bhaktitaḥ - out of devotion.
The Supreme Lord is pūrṇa, perfect and complete in Himself. He requires nothing for His satisfaction. Knowing this, a pure devotee makes offerings to the Lord only out of love, bhaktitaḥ, with no expectation of material profit. And on His part, the Lord happily accepts even a small gift of flowers, tulasī leaves and water when it has been offered in love.
