tataḥ purīṠyadu-patir aty-alaá¹…ká¹›tÄá¹
ravi-cchada-dhvaja-paá¹a-citra-toraṇÄm
kuÅ›asthalīṠdivi bhuvi cÄbhisaá¹stutÄá¹
samÄviÅ›at taraṇir iva sva-ketanam
tataḥ - then; purÄ«m - His city; yadu-patiḥ - the Lord of the Yadus; ati - profusely; alaá¹…ká¹›tÄm - decorated; ravi - the sun; chada - blocking; dhvaja - upon flagpoles; paá¹a - with banners; citra - wonderful; toraṇÄm - and with archways; kuÅ›asthalÄ«m - DvÄrakÄ; divi - in heaven; bhuvi - on the earth; ca - and; abhisaá¹stutÄm - glorified; samÄviÅ›at - He entered; taraṇiḥ - the sun; iva - as if; sva - his own; ketanam - abode.
The abode of the sun is in the western mountains, where he sets each evening.
