tato 'nujñÄpya rÄjÄnam
anicchantam apīśvaraḥ
yayau sa-bhÄryaḥ sÄmÄtyaḥ
sva-puraṠdevakī-sutaḥ

 tataḥ - then; anujñÄpya - requesting leave; rÄjÄnam - of the King; anicchantam - who did not want it; api - although; Ä«Å›varaḥ - the Supreme Lord; yayau - went; sa-bhÄryaḥ - with His wives; sa-amÄtyaḥ - and with His ministers; sva - to His own; puram - city; devakÄ«-sutaḥ - the son of DevakÄ«.

Then the Lord, the son of Devakī, took the reluctant permission of the King and returned to His capital with His wives and ministers.
