vayÄá¹sy aroruvan kṛṣṇaá¹
bodhayantīva vandinaḥ
gÄyatsv aliá¹£v anidrÄṇi
mandÄra-vana-vÄyubhiḥ

 vayÄá¹si - birds; aroruvan - sounded loudly; kṛṣṇam - Lord Kṛṣṇa; bodhayanti - waking; iva - as if; vandinaḥ - bards; gÄyatsu - as they sang; aliá¹£u - bees; anidrÄṇi - aroused from sleep; mandÄra - of pÄrijÄta trees; vana - from the garden; vÄyubhiḥ - by the breeze.


Text

The bees’ buzzing, caused by the fragrant breeze from the pÄrijÄta garden, roused the birds from sleep. And when the birds began to sing loudly, they woke Lord Kṛṣṇa like court poets reciting His glories.
