 tasya - of him; asyataḥ - who was throwing; astrÄṇi - weapons; asaká¹›t - repeatedly; cakreṇa - with His disc; ká¹£ura - razor-sharp; neminÄ - whose circumference; ciccheda - cut off; bhagavÄn - the Supreme Lord; bÄhÅ«n - the arms; Å›ÄkhÄḥ - branches; iva - as if; vanaspateḥ - of a tree.

As BÄṇa continued hurling weapons at Him, the Supreme Lord began using His razor-sharp cakra to cut off BÄṇÄsura’s arms as if they were tree branches.
