satrÄjitam asattamaḥ

sa pÄpaḥ kṣīṇa jÄ«vitaḥ

 evam - thus; bhinna - affected; matiḥ - whose mind; tÄbhyÄm - by the two of them; satrÄjitam - SatrÄjit; asat-tamaḥ - the most wicked; Å›ayÄnam - sleeping; avadhÄ«t - killed; lobhÄt - out of greed; saḥ - he; pÄpaḥ - sinful; kṣīṇa - diminished; jÄ«vitaḥ - whose life span.

His mind thus influenced by their advice, wicked ÅšatadhanvÄ murdered SatrÄjit in his sleep simply out of greed. In this way the sinful ÅšatadhanvÄ shortened his own life span.

Purport

According to ÅšrÄ«la ViÅ›vanÄtha CakravartÄ«, the word asattamaḥ indicates that ÅšatadhanvÄ was basically evil-minded and a firm hater of SatrÄjit.
