avadhÄrya Å›anair īṣad
vailakṣaṇyena yoṣitaḥ
upajagmuḥ pramuditÄḥ
sa-strÄ« ratnaá¹ su-vismitÄḥ

 avadhÄrya - realizing; Å›anaiḥ - gradually; Ä«á¹£at - slight; vailaká¹£aṇyena - by the difference of appearance; yoá¹£itaḥ - the ladies; upajagmuḥ - they came near; pramuditÄḥ - delighted; sa - together with; strÄ« - of women; ratnam - the jewel; su-vismitaḥ - very surprised.


Text

Gradually, from the slight differences between His appearance and Kṛṣṇa’s, the ladies realized He was not the Lord. Delighted and astonished, they approached Pradyumna and His consort, who was a jewel among women.
