evam - in this manner; cintayatÄ« - thinking; bÄlÄ - the young girl; govinda - by Kṛṣṇa; há¹›ta - stolen; mÄnasÄ - whose mind; nyamÄ«layata - she closed; kÄla - the time; jÃ±Ä - knowing; netre - her eyes; ca - and; aÅ›ru-kalÄ - with tears; Äkule - brimming.
ÅšrÄ«la ÅšrÄ«dhara SvÄmÄ« explains the word kÄla-jÃ±Ä as follows: “[Rukmiṇī thought,] ‘It is not even the right time yet for Govinda to come,’ and thus she felt a bit consoled.â€
