bhagavÄn punar Ävrajya
purīṠyavana-veá¹£á¹itÄm
hatvÄ mleccha-balaá¹ ninye
tadÄ«yaá¹ dvÄrakÄá¹ dhanam
bhagavÄn - the Lord; punaḥ - once again; Ävrajya - returning; purÄ«m - to His city; yavana - by the Yavanas; veá¹£á¹itÄm - surrounded; hatvÄ - killing; mleccha - of barbarians; balam - the army; ninye - He brought; tadÄ«yam - their; dvÄrakÄm - to DvÄrakÄ; dhanam - wealth.
It is clear from this verse that KÄlayavana alone pursued Lord Kṛṣṇa into the mountain cave. When Kṛṣṇa returned to the besieged city of MathurÄ, He eliminated the vast barbarian army.
