tan me bhavÄn khalu vá¹›taḥ patir aá¹…ga jÄyÄm
ÄtmÄrpitaÅ› ca bhavato 'tra vibho vidhehi
mÄ vÄ«ra-bhÄgam abhimarÅ›atu caidya ÄrÄd
gomÄyu-van má¹›ga-pater balim ambujÄká¹£a

 tat - therefore; me - by me; bhavÄn - Your good self; khalu - indeed; vá¹›taḥ - chosen; patiḥ - as husband; aá¹…ga - dear Lord; jÄyÄm - as wife; ÄtmÄ - myself; arpitaḥ - offered; ca - and; bhavataḥ - to You; atra - here; vibho - O omnipotent one; vidhehi - please accept;  - never; vÄ«ra - of the hero; bhÄgam - the portion; abhimarÅ›atu - should touch; caidyaḥ - ÅšiÅ›upÄla, son of the King of Cedi; ÄrÄt - swiftly; gomÄyu-vat - like a jackal; má¹›ga-pateḥ - belonging to the king of animals, the lion; balim - the tribute; ambuja-aká¹£a - O lotus-eyed one.

Therefore, my dear Lord, I have chosen You as my husband, and I surrender myself to You. Please come swiftly, O almighty one, and make me Your wife. My dear lotus-eyed Lord, let ÅšiÅ›upÄla never touch the hero’s portion like a jackal stealing the property of a lion.
