śaṅkhaṠdadhmau vinirgatya
harir dÄruka-sÄrathiḥ
tato 'bhÅ«t para-sainyÄnÄá¹
há¹›di vitrÄsa-vepathuḥ

 Å›aá¹…kham - His conchshell; dadhmau - blew; vinirgatya - upon going out; hariḥ - Lord Kṛṣṇa; dÄruka-sÄrathiḥ - whose chariot driver was DÄruka; tataḥ - thereupon; abhÅ«t - arose; para - of the enemy; sainyÄnÄm - among the soldiers; há¹›di - in their hearts; vitrÄsa - in terror; vepathuḥ - trembling.


Text

As Lord Kṛṣṇa came out of the city with DÄruka at the reins of His chariot, He blew His conchshell, and the enemy soldiers’ hearts began to tremble with fear.
