puruᚣair bahubhir guptam
arcitaᚁ paramarddhimat
vāryamāṇo nṛbhiḥ kṛṣṇaḥ
prasahya dhanur ādade

 puruᚣaiḼ - by men; bahubhiḼ - many; guptam - guarded; arcitam - being worshiped; parama - supreme; áš›ddhi - opulence; mat - possessing; vāryamāṇaḼ - warded off; nṛbhiḼ - by the guards; kṛṣṇaḼ - Lord Kṛṣṇa; prasahya - by force; dhanuḼ - the bow; Ädade - picked up.


Text

That most opulent bow was guarded by a large company of men, who were respectfully worshiping it. Kṛṣṇa pushed His way forward and, despite the guards’ attempts to stop Him, picked it up.
