 saḥ - he, Åšaá¹…khacÅ«á¸a; vÄ«ká¹£ya - seeing; tau - the two; anuprÄptau - approached; kÄla-má¹›tyÅ« - Time and Death; iva - as; udvijan - becoming anxious; visá¹›jya - leaving aside; strÄ«-janam - the women; mÅ«á¸haḥ - confused; prÄdravat - ran away; jÄ«vita - his life; icchayÄ - with the desire of preserving.

When Åšaá¹…khacÅ«á¸a saw the two of Them coming toward him like the personified forces of Time and Death, he was filled with anxiety. Confused, he abandoned the women and fled for his life.
