taá¹ nartum udyatam aveká¹£ya tadÄ tadÄ«ya-
gandharva-siddha-muni-cÄraṇa-deva-vadhvaḥ
prÄ«tyÄ má¹›daá¹…ga-paṇavÄnaka-vÄdya-gÄ«ta-
puá¹£popahÄra-nutibhiḥ sahasopaseduḥ
tam - Him; nartum - in dancing; udyatam - engaged; aveká¹£ya - taking note of; tadÄ - then; tadÄ«ya - His servants; gandharva-siddha - the Gandharvas and Siddhas; muni-cÄraṇa - the sages and the CÄraṇas; deva-vadhvaḥ - the wives of the demigods; prÄ«tyÄ - with great pleasure; má¹›daá¹…ga-paṇava-Änaka - of various kinds of drums; vÄdya - with musical accompaniment; gÄ«ta - song; puá¹£pa - flowers; upahÄra - other presentations; nutibhiḥ - and prayers; sahasÄ - immediately; upaseduḥ - arrived.
Seeing the Lord dancing, His servants in the heavenly planets — the Gandharvas, Siddhas, sages, CÄraṇas and wives of the demigods — immediately arrived there. With great pleasure they began accompanying the Lord’s dancing by playing drums such as má¹›daá¹…gas, paṇavas and Änakas. They also made offerings of songs, flowers and prayers.
When the demigods and other residents of higher planetary systems became aware that Lord ÅšrÄ« Kṛṣṇa was personally putting on a wonderful demonstration of the art of dancing, they immediately came to offer their services. Dancing becomes more enjoyable and beautiful to watch when it is accompanied by expert drum-playing, singing and the chanting of prayers. The artistic atmosphere was also enhanced by the showering of a multitude of flowers upon Lord ÅšrÄ« Kṛṣṇa, who was blissfully engaged in dancing upon the hoods of the KÄliya serpent.
