 saḥ - He; tam - him; gá¹›hÄ«tvÄ - seizing; prapadoḥ - by the hooves; bhrÄmayitvÄ - whirling around; eka-pÄṇinÄ - with a single hand; ciká¹£epa - He threw; tṛṇa-rÄja-agre - into the top of a palm tree; bhrÄmaṇa - by the whirling; tyakta - giving up; jÄ«vitam - his life.


Text

Lord BalarÄma seized Dhenuka by his hooves, whirled him about with one hand and threw him into the top of a palm tree. The violent wheeling motion killed the demon.
