vyÄsaḥ uvÄca - VyÄsa said; iti - thus; sampraÅ›na - perfect inquiries; saá¹hṛṣá¹aḥ - perfectly satisfied; viprÄṇÄm - of the sages there; raumahará¹£aṇiḥ - the son of Romahará¹£aṇa, namely UgraÅ›ravÄ; pratipÅ«jya - after thanking them; vacaḥ - words; teá¹£Äm - their; pravaktum - to reply to them; upacakrame - attempted.
The sages of Naimiá¹£Äraṇya asked SÅ«ta GosvÄmÄ« six questions, and so he is answering them one by one.
