rÅ«pa-sanÄtana-sambandhe kailÄ Äliá¹…gana

 prabhu prÄ«tye - because of the mercy of ÅšrÄ« Caitanya MahÄprabhu; tÄá¹…ra - his; mÄthe - on the head; dharilÄ caraṇa - rested His lotus feet; rÅ«pa-sanÄtana-sambandhe - because of his relationship with RÅ«pa GosvÄmÄ« and SanÄtana GosvÄmÄ«; kailÄ Äliá¹…gana - embraced.

Because of JÄ«va GosvÄmī’s relationship with RÅ«pa GosvÄmÄ« and SanÄtana GosvÄmÄ«, who were greatly favored by ÅšrÄ« Caitanya MahÄprabhu, Lord NityÄnanda Prabhu placed His feet on the head of ÅšrÄ«la JÄ«va GosvÄmÄ« and embraced him.
