ÅšrÄ«la RÅ«pa GosvÄmÄ« gradually informed RÄmÄnanda RÄya about everything he asked. Hearing his explanations, all the devotees of ÅšrÄ« Caitanya MahÄprabhu were struck with wonder.

ÅšrÄ«la RÅ«pa GosvÄmÄ« has explained kÄma-likhana in his book Ujjvala-nÄ«lamaṇi (Vipralambha-prakaraṇa 26):

sa lekhaḥ kÄma-lekhaḥ syÄt yaḥ sva-prema-prakÄÅ›akaḥ
yuvatyÄ yÅ«ni yÅ«nÄ ca yuvatyÄá¹ samprahÄ«yate

“Exchanges of letters between a young boy and young girl concerning their awakening of attachment for each other are called kÄma-lekha.â€
