Åšiva-kÄñcÄ« is also known as KÄñcÄ«puram, or the Benares of southern India. In Åšiva-kÄñcÄ« there are hundreds of temples containing symbolic representations of Lord Åšiva, and one of these temples is said to be very, very old.
