Purport

The city of PÄṇá¸arapura is situated on the river BhÄ«mÄ. It is said that ÅšrÄ« Caitanya MahÄprabhu initiated TukÄrÄma when He visited PÄṇá¸arapura, and thus TukÄrÄma became His disciple. TukÄrÄma Ä€cÄrya became very famous in the Maharashtra province, and he spread the saá¹…kÄ«rtana movement all over the province. The saá¹…kÄ«rtana party belonging to TukÄrÄma is still very popular in Bombay and throughout the province of Maharashtra. TukÄrÄma’s book is known as Abhaá¹…ga. His saá¹…kÄ«rtana party exactly resembles the Gauá¸Ä«ya-Vaiṣṇava saá¹…kÄ«rtana parties, for they chant the holy name of the Lord with má¹›daá¹…ga and karatÄlas.

The Lord Viá¹há¹haladeva mentioned in this verse is a form of Lord Viṣṇu with two hands. He is NÄrÄyaṇa.
