 sandhyÄya - in the evening; bhoga - foods; lÄge - they offer; kṣīra - sweet rice; amá¹›ta-keli-nÄma - named amá¹›ta-keli; dvÄdaÅ›a - twelve; má¹›t-pÄtre - earthen pots; bhari' - filling; amá¹›ta-samÄna - just like nectar.

The brÄhmaṇa priest said, “In the evening the Deity is offered sweet rice in twelve earthen pots. Because the taste is as good as nectar [amá¹›ta], it is named amá¹›ta-keli.
