 jagá¹›he - accepted; pauruá¹£am rÅ«pam - the form of the puruá¹£a incarnation; bhagavÄn - the Supreme Personality of Godhead; mahat-Ädibhiḥ - with the material energy, etc.; sambhÅ«tam - created; á¹£oá¸aÅ›a - sixteen; kalam - elements; Ädau - in the beginning; loka - of the material worlds; sisá¹›ká¹£ayÄ - with a desire for the creation.

“ ‘In the beginning of the creation, the Lord expanded Himself in the form of the puruá¹£a incarnation, accompanied by all the ingredients of material creation. First He created the sixteen principal energies suitable for creation. This was for the purpose of manifesting the material universes.’
