gÄla phulila, ÄcÄrya antare ullÄsa
vistÄri' varṇiyÄchena vá¹›ndÄvana-dÄsa

 gÄla - the cheeks; phulila - became swollen; ÄcÄrya - Puṇá¸arÄ«ka VidyÄnidhi; antare - within the heart; ullÄsa - very happy; vistÄri' - elaborating; varṇiyÄchena - has narrated; vá¹›ndÄvana-dÄsa - ÅšrÄ«la Vá¹›ndÄvana dÄsa ṬhÄkura.

Although his cheeks were swollen from the slapping, Puṇá¸arÄ«ka VidyÄnidhi was very happy within. This incident has been elaborately described by ṬhÄkura Vá¹›ndÄvana dÄsa.
