Purport

ÅšrÄ«la BhaktisiddhÄnta SarasvatÄ« ṬhÄkura has pointed out that this vá¹›ndÄvana-vihÄra — the pastimes of Vá¹›ndÄvana — does not refer to Kṛṣṇa’s mixing with the gopÄ«s or the transcendental mellow of parakÄ«ya-rasa. ÅšrÄ« Caitanya MahÄprabhu’s vá¹›ndÄvana-lÄ«lÄ in the garden of JagannÄtha PurÄ« did not involve association with women or with other people’s wives in the fashion transcendentally demonstrated by ÅšrÄ« Kṛṣṇa. In His vá¹›ndÄvana-lÄ«lÄ, ÅšrÄ« Caitanya MahÄprabhu conceived of Himself as the assistant of ÅšrÄ«matÄ« RÄdhÄrÄṇī. When ÅšrÄ«matÄ« RÄdhÄrÄṇī enjoyed the company of Kṛṣṇa, Her maidservants were very pleased. One should not compare ÅšrÄ« Caitanya MahÄprabhu’s vá¹›ndÄvana-vihÄra in the garden of JagannÄtha with the activities of the gaurÄá¹…ga-nÄgarÄ«s.
