virÄá¹ - the virÄá¹ manifestation; hiraṇya-garbhaḥ - the hiraṇyagarbha manifestation; ca - and; kÄraṇam - the kÄraṇa manifestation; ca - and; iti - thus; upÄdhayaḥ - particular designations; īśasya - of the Lord; yat - that which; tribhiḥ - these three; hÄ«nam - without; turÄ«yam - the fourth; tat - that; pracaká¹£ate - is considered.
VirÄá¹ (the phenomenal manifestation of the Supreme Whole), hiraṇyagarbha (the numinous soul of everything), and kÄraṇa (the cause, or causal nature) are all but designations of the puruá¹£as, who are responsible for material creation. The transcendental position surpasses these designations and is therefore called the position of the fourth dimension. This is a quotation from ÅšrÄ«dhara SvÄmī’s commentary on the Eleventh Canto, fifteenth chapter, verse 16, of ÅšrÄ«mad-BhÄgavatam.
