īśvaraḥ paramaḥ kṛṣṇaḥ
sac-cid-ānanda-vigrahaḼ
anādir ādir govindaḼ
sarva-kāraṇa-kāraṇam

 ÄŤĹ›varah - the controller; paramaḼ - supreme; kṛṣṇaḼ - Lord Kṛṣṇa; sat - eternal existence; cit - absolute knowledge; Änanda - absolute bliss; vigrahaḼ - whose form; anādiḼ - without beginning; ÄdiḼ - the origin; govindaḼ - Lord Govinda; sarva-kāraṇa-kāraṇam - the cause of all causes.

“ ‘Kṛṣṇa, who is known as Govinda, is the supreme controller. He has an eternal, blissful, spiritual body. He is the origin of all. He has no other origin, for He is the prime cause of all causes.’
