Å›rÄ«-Å›ukaḥ uvÄca - ÅšrÄ« Åšukadeva GosvÄmÄ« said; saudÄsaḥ - King SaudÄsa; má¹›gayÄm - in hunting; kiñcit - sometimes; caran - wandering; raká¹£aḥ - a RÄká¹£asa, or man-eater; jaghÄna - killed; ha - in the past; mumoca - released; bhrÄtaram - the brother of that RÄká¹£asa; saḥ - that brother; atha - thereafter; gataḥ - went; praticikÄ«rá¹£ayÄ - for taking revenge; sañcintayan - he thought; agham - to do some harm; rÄjñaḥ - of the King; sÅ«da-rÅ«pa-dharaḥ - disguised himself as a cook; gá¹›he - in the house; gurave - unto the King's spiritual master; bhoktu-kÄmÄya - who came there to take dinner; paktvÄ - after cooking; ninye - gave him; nara-Ämiá¹£am - the flesh of a human being.
