yathā–As; dīpaḥ–a lamp-flame; nivāta-sthaḥ–in a windless place; na iṅgate–does not waver; sā–such; upamā–an analogy; smṛtā–is cited; yoginaḥ–of the yogī; ātmanaḥ–the soul-centred; yogam–yoga; yuñjataḥ–practitioner; yata-chittasya–of unwavering one-pointed mind. [19]

It is said, as a lamp-flame situated in a windless place does not waver, similarly, the mind of the yogī absorbed in the self never flickers in its concentration.
