Å›rÄ«-bhagavÄn uvÄcha–The Supreme Lord said: Å›raddhÄ eva–Faith; dehinÄm–of the living beings; bhavati–is; tri-vidhÄ iti–of these three types: sattvikī–good; rÄjasÄ« cha–passionate; tÄmasÄ« cha–and ignorant. –That faith; svabhÄva-jÄ–is born of their own nature acquired from impressions of previous lives. tÄm śṛṇu–Now hear of that.
