Å›arÄ«raá¹ yad avÄpnoti yach chÄpy utkrÄmatīśvaraḥ gá¹›hÄ«tvaitÄni saá¹yÄti vÄyur gandhÄn ivÄÅ›ayÄt [8]
yat sarÄ«ram–Regarding any body which; īśvaraḥ–the soul, as master of the body; avÄpnoti–obtains; yat cha api–and from which; utkrÄmati–it departs; (tadÄ)–then; gá¹›hÄ«tvÄ–taking; etÄni–these six senses; vÄyuḥ iva–as the wind; gandhÄn–carries fragrance; ÄÅ›ayÄt– from its source, such as a flower; (Å›arÄ«rÄntaram) saá¹yÄti–it goes to enter another body.
