अपीपलद्धर्मराजः पितृवद्रञ्जयन्प्रजाः ।
निःस्पृहः सर्वकामेभ्यः कृष्णपादानुसेवया ॥४॥

apÄ«palad dharma-rÄjaḥ
pitá¹›vad rañjayan prajÄḥ
niḥspá¹›haḥ sarva-kÄmebhyaḥ
kṛṣṇa-pÄdÄnusevayÄ
SÅ«ta said: Yudhiá¹£á¹hira, like his father, freed from personal desires by engaging in service to the Lord, satisfied and protected the citizens.
Three verses describe Yudhisthira in order to indicate that the cause of attaining such a grandson was his attachment to Krsna. Apipalat means “he protected.â€
