jñāna-vijñāna-yajñena

mām iṣṭvātmānam ātmani

sarva-yajña-patiḿ māḿ vai

saḿsiddhiḿ munayo 'gaman

jnana -- of Vedic knowledge; vijnana -- and spiritual enlightenment; yajnena -- by the sacrifice; mam -- Me; ishtva -- having worshiped; atmanam -- the Supreme Lord within everyone's heart; atmani -- within themselves; sarva -- of all; yajna -- sacrifices; patim -- the Lord; mam -- Me; vai -- certainly; samsiddhim -- the supreme perfection; munayah -- the sages; agaman -- achieved.

Formerly, great sages, through the sacrifice of Vedic knowledge and spiritual enlightenment, worshiped Me within themselves, knowing Me to be the Supreme Lord of all sacrifice and the Supersoul in everyone's heart. Thus coming to Me, these sages achieved the supreme perfection.
