yady asatyaḿ vacaḥ śambhoḥ
kathañcid dānavarṣabha
tadainaḿ jahy asad-vācaḿ
na yad vaktānṛtaḿ punaḥ
yadi -- if; asatyam -- untrue; vacah -- the words; sambhoh -- of Lord Siva; kathancit -- in any way; danava-rishabha -- O best of the demons; tada -- then; enam -- him; jahi -- please kill; asat -- untrue; vacam -- whose words; na -- not; yat -- so that; vakta -- he may speak; anritam -- what is false; punah -- again.
Lord Siva may have the power to revive himself even after being killed, but at least he will be dissuaded from lying again.
