ity uktaś codayām āsa

ratham āsthāya dārukaḥ

viśantaḿ dadṛśuḥ sarve

iti -- thus; uktah -- told; codayam asa -- he drove forward; ratham -- the chariot; asthaya -- taking control of it; darukah -- Daruka; visantam -- entering; dadrisuh -- saw; sarve -- everyone; sve -- His own men; pare -- the opposite party; ca -- also; aruna-anujam -- the younger brother of Aruna (Garuda, on Lord Krishna's flag).


Texto

Thus ordered, Daruka took command of the Lord's chariot and drove forth. As the chariot entered the battlefield, everyone there, both friend and foe, caught sight of the emblem of Garuda.
