śrī-śuka uvāca
sa upaspṛśya salilaḿ
daḿśito dhṛta-kārmukaḥ
naya māḿ dyumataḥ pārśvaḿ
vīrasyety āha sārathim
sri-sukah uvaca -- Sukadeva Gosvami said; sah -- He (Pradyumna); upasprisya -- touching; salilam -- water; damsitah -- fastening His armor; dhrita -- taking up; karmukah -- His bow; naya -- take; mam -- Me; dyumatah -- of Dyuman; parsvam -- to the side; virasya -- of the hero; iti -- thus; aha -- He spoke; sarathim -- to His driver.
Pradyumna was eager to rectify the discrepancy of His having left the battlefield when His chariot driver carried Him away unconscious.
