parīto bhrātṛbhir nṛpa

asi-hastaḥ kṣipan ruṣā

tatra -- there; duryodhanah -- Duryodhana; mani -- proud; paritah -- surrounded; bhratribhih -- by his brothers; nripa -- O King; kirita -- wearing a crown; mali -- and a necklace; nyavisat -- entered; asi -- a sword; hastah -- in his hand; kshipan -- insulting (the doorkeepers); rusha -- angrily.


Texto

Proud Duryodhana, holding a sword in his hand and wearing a crown and necklace, angrily went into the palace in the company of his brothers, O King, insulting the doorkeepers as he entered.

Significado

Srila Prabhupada writes that Duryodhana "was always in an envious and angry mood, and therefore, on a slight provocation, he spoke sharply with the doorkeepers and became angry."
