yathā-vad avadan nṛpān

te 'pi sandarśanaḿ śaureḥ

pratyaikṣan yan mumukṣavaḥ

iti -- thus; uktah -- addressed; prasthitah -- departed; dutah -- the messenger; yatha-vat -- accurately; avadat -- he told; nripan -- the kings; te -- they; api -- and; sandarsanam -- the audience; saureh -- of Lord Krishna; pratyaikshan -- awaited; yat -- because; mumukshavah -- being eager for liberation.


Texto

Thus addressed, the messenger departed and accurately relayed the Lord's message to the kings. Eager for freedom, they then waited expectantly for their meeting with Lord Krishna.

Significado

The great Vaishnava scholar Srila Jiva Gosvami comments here that by force of circumstances the kings began focusing their attention on Lord Krishna alone.
