ity ukto 'cyutam ānamya

gato māheśvaro jvaraḥ

bāṇas tu ratham ārūḍhaḥ

prāgād yotsyan janārdanam

iti -- thus; uktah -- addressed; acyutam -- to Krishna, the infallible Supreme Lord; anamya -- bowing down; gatah -- went; mahesvarah -- of Lord Siva; jvarah -- the fever weapon; banah -- Banasura; tu -- but; ratham -- his chariot; arudhah -- riding; pragat -- came forward; yotsyan -- intending to fight; janardanam -- Lord Krishna.

Thus addressed, the Mahesvara-jvara bowed down to the infallible Lord and went away. But Banasura then appeared, riding forth on his chariot to fight Lord Krishna.
